I think we’re due for another of Moe Tassoudji’s OATD’s! Today’s term is:
Espagnolette:
A tilt-turn locking device found in swinging casements. It is typically found in French doors or casement windows, and often decorative. By pulling the handle, the rod rotates, and the sockets catch the head and sill of the opening. You can also find them latching closed the rear doors of semi-trailer trucks.

It reminds me of the doors at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans!
Beautiful! If I ever have to spend more time in Singapore, I’d love to have something like this.
Parapet:
A parapet is a low wall projecting from the edge of a platform, terrace, or roof. Parapets may rise above the cornice of a building or form the upper portion of a defensive wall on a castle. In Mission Style homes, rounded parapets are often used as decorative features.
Now you know!

Amazing example of white-space use in interior design. Moe Tassoudji gives this two persian thumbs up.

Could this be the future residence of Moe Tassoudji? Meh… doubtful. I don’t particularly like Rhode Island.
Hey, I’m Moe. Moe Tassoudji. I’m into architecture… residential houses, specifically. So my plan is to post pictures of various houses that I like, and my reasoning behind it. Of course, I don’t own all these places. I’m no millionaire (not yet, anyway… tee hee).
